Commission FAQs

What sizes do you offer, and what are your prices for commission work?

  • 5x7s are $125

  • 8x10s are $155

  • 11x14s are $225

  • If you want a different size, please email me.

All sizes are in inches, and all prices are in USD. You can specify if you want horizonal or vertical layout. These prices do NOT include shipping. Shipping will be between $10 and $20 depending on size. We can discuss if you would like it sent via USPS, FedEx or UPS, which will change the price slightly.

How does it work and how long will it take?

Please contact me at beckybooneart@outlook.com and tell me what you have in mind. I generally answer emails within a day or two of receipt. You and I will agree on the scope of the artwork, and I’ll take a look at the photographs or images that you send me. The better the photograph, the better the artwork! Within about 2 weeks (depending on my workload) I will send you a rough sketch. Once we are agreed, I will begin to finalize your art, contacting you if I have any questions or need clarification. You are welcome to contact me during this time, too. The finalization will depend on the size and complexity of the art. Generally a month from the rough sketch approval to the final art. Once the final is finished, I will email you a watermarked image along with an invoice for the work plus shipping. When payment is received, the art piece will be shipped to you within two days (unless it’s a blizzard in February…which happens).

Can you “fix” something wrong in my photo, or take something out?

Sure, I can change the art to reflect more of what you want to see, not necessarily what is in your exact image. Sometimes it’s best to work from a collection of images of the same pet or view, to get the best angle or expression or lighting. I have removed trees, added porch swings and even switched two pets from one side to the other to create a better composition. I try to stay true to the nature of what I’m painting, because that is what attracts us to whomever or whatever it is.

Do you paint or draw people, too? Not often.
